Batch data cleansing and formatting - this tool is typically used to process large volumes of customer name and address data providing accurate, complete and consistent output. The batch process contains a number of algorithms (business rules) that substitute for the human decision point enjoyed by the interactive tool. The batch process is fully audit trailed to provide a before and after image of the process and each exercise is summarized in a report for each country data set used. The batch process is used in a bureau environment for cleansing and analysing customer data as well as being imbedded in automated customer transaction take-on processes.
