Geocoding

Geocoding provides latitude/longitude grid co-ordinates for an address location in the countries where GIS data is available (see Data Coverage).

Geocoding is a post-validation enhancement process and will return a geographical coordinate to City Centroid, Street Centroid or Rooftop depending on the requirement and data availability.

  • Geocodes can be used for applications such as: calculating the distance between two points for route planning and logistics
  • Location-based searches such as ‘Find my Nearest...’; customer location; supporting self-pick-up operations
  • Mapping to enable better customer analysis and more focused sales and marketing campaigns
  • Links to 3rd part data intelligence such as environmental search and proximity reports
