Deduplication

Deduplication MatchKey generation is an optional feature that analyses name and address data according to a set of predefined rules.

Data validation is a pre-curser to an effective deduplication strategy so that MatchKeys may be generated consistently for effective record identification.

End users can specify multiple fields for use in MatchKey generation. These can be a combination of name and address components (such as premise or first name); formatted fields (such as address line 1 or full name); other components (such as date of birth or telephone no).

The MatchKey generator is a "soft" function that allows the content and treatment of the content to be tuned to maximum effect. End-users are encouraged to use this technology as part of a wider deduplication strategy applying priorities to matching rules so that results may be optimized for avoiding over-kill and under-kill.

Use cases:

  • Single customer view (CRM strategies)
  • Merge/Purge (Mailing and fulfilment)
  • Data analytics (avoiding skew from double counting)
