Data Coverage

Address reference data is sourced independently from individual countries’ postal authorities and other validated sources and NOT the UPU, who may supply only base level data. Many of these sources are the recognized postal service for the country concerned, also, a number of private sources such as mailing houses and GIS companies that have compiled an accurate representation of mailing addresses and locations.

Geocode reference data is sourced independently from GIS companies to deliver Latitude/Longitude co-ordinates to Street Centroid and Rooftop levels.

Other datasets that can be appended to "core" address reference data includes:

  • Time zone data
  • Dun & Bradstreet corporate data register
  • Customer specified proprietary or sourced data such as sales territory definitions, telephone book and geo-demographics

All address reference data is Unicode compliant and available in Roman-based languages. Double-Byte Character Sets are featured to support languages such as Chinese, Hellenic, Cyrilic, Hangul, Kanji, Katakana and Thai.
